With two debuts, Minaj now has more Hot 100 hits than Madonna. Plus, each of the four top finishers on the latest season of NBC's 'The Voice' debut.
As previously reported, Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" leads the Billboard Hot 100 for a sixth week, while Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk!," featuring Bruno Mars, at No. 3, tops the Digital Songs chart.
Who else soars on the Hot 100 this week?
Matt McAndrew
The runner-up on the seventh season of NBC's The Voice debuts two songs on the Hot 100 following the show's Dec. 16 season finale. "Wasted Love" is the chart's top debut at No. 14, while "Lost Stars," with Adam Levine, bows at No. 83. The tracks start at Nos. 5 and 27 on Digital Songs with 209,000 and 48,000 downloads sold, respectively, according to Nielsen Music.
Nicki Minaj
The rapper debuts two star-assisted tracks on the Hot 100, furthering her Hot 100 achievements on two levels. "Feeling Myself," featuring Beyonce, starts at No. 43, and "Get on Your Knees," featuring Ariana Grande, enters at No. 88. With the bows, Minaj ups her count to 58 career Hot 100 hits, passing Madonna and Dionne Warwick (56 each) for the third-best total among women. Aretha Franklin leads with 73, followed by Taylor Swift (66).
Minaj also boasts a career-best eight songs on this week's Hot 100 (dated Jan. 3). Among women, only Swift has charted more titles at once: 11 (Nov. 13, 2010). Minaj is one of just eight acts overall to post at least eight songs on the Hot 100 at once, joining the Beatles, who charted a record 14 on April 11, 1964, Chris Brown, David Cook, Drake, the cast of Fox's Glee, Lil Wayne and Swift.
"Only" is Minaj's highest-ranking song this week; it slips from its No. 12 high to No. 15.
Fall Out Boy
"Centuries" reaches the Hot 100's top 20 for the first time in its 15th chart week, rising 26-20. It last ranked higher when it debuted at No. 22 on Sept. 27. Fueling its new peak: the band sang the song on The Voice's season finale (with McAndrew). "Centuries" surges by 62 percent to 84,000 sold.
Milky Chance
"Stolen Dance" similarly reaches a milestone deep into its Hot 100 run: it reaches the top 40 (42-39) in its 22nd week. It spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on Alternative Songs in September-November. The song completes the longest climb to the Hot 100's top 40 since Martin Garrix's "Animals," which also needed 22 weeks, reaching the region in March (and eventually peaking at No. 21). The longest rise ever to the top 40? Of Monsters and Men's "Little Talks," which did so in its 30th week on Dec. 29, 2012 (before peaking at No. 20).
Chris Jamison
Like McAndrew, the third-place finisher on The Voice this season also debuts two songs on the Hot 100: "Velvet" (No. 53) and his remake of Robin Thicke's "Lost Without U," with Levine (No. 63). They start at Nos. 13 and 18 on Digital Songs with 77,000 and 64,000 sold, respectively. Levine served as coach for both McAndrew and Jamison.
Meanwhile, season seven champ Craig Wayne Boyd debuts at No. 34 on the Hot 100 with "My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face," which, as previously reported, becomes just the second song ever to launch at No. 1 on Hot Country Songs. And fourth-place finalist Damien enters the chart, with "Soldier" at No. 74.
