Ten years have passed since the release of Arcade Fire’s critically acclaimed debut album, Funeral. But after two No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and a North American arena tour, the Grammy-winning act hasn’t yet become a household name.
“I feel like we’re just constantly introducing ourselves,” Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler says during a recent profile of the band on CBS Sunday Morning. “We’ve been introducing ourselves for like 15 years... I wonder at what point we don’t have to be introducing ourselves all the time.”
Arcade Fire members Win Butler, Regine Chassagne and Will Butler discuss a wide range of topics during the interview with CBS’ Anthony Mason, including how the band got its start in Montreal, its approach to live shows, the time Chassagne made a man cry in a grocery store and why the group's members stay away from drugs.
