The Weeknd held a jam-packed listening party at Los Angeles' 1OAK on Friday night (Aug. 28) for his stunning new album, Beauty Behind the Madness, befitting an R&B pop king in the making only possible during MTV VMAs weekend.

Major celebrity powerhouses like Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill, Diddy, Selena Gomez, Travi$ Scott, Busta Rhymes, NBA stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook amid flaming bottle service, throngs of absurdly good looking people and a booming sound system all sat in satellite table pods surrounded by their entourages holding their own mini-courts.

But all were focused on 25-year-old The Weekend (real name: Abel Tesfaye) -- who graces the cover of this week's Billboard -- and his blissful R&B pop croon, pumped high in da club by DJ Esco and Metro Boomin.

Though unfortunately he never grabbed the mic like everyone in the house dreamt of, the Weekend did sing and groove along animatedly to his dirty jams. This included the retro-soul inflected "Tell Your Friends," the slinky "The Hills" and  the confessional "Acquaintance."

While "Earned It" from 50 Shades of Gray elicited an enormous response, that was far eclipsed by what is 2015's song of the summer, the irresistible "I Can't Feel My Face," which had the entirety of 1OAK's packed in hotties vociferously singing along.
