Michael Clifford Discuss Ex-Girlfriend Abigail Breslin’s ‘You Suck’

5 Seconds of Summer member Michael Clifford has confirmed that his ex-girlfriend Abigail Breslin’s new song “You Suck” was written about him.

Clifford revealed during an Australian radio interview on Nova FM that the song’s harsh lyrics -- which mention a “dumb tattoo” and “bleachin' your hair” -- were likely inspired by their past relationship, Gossip Cop points out.

“I haven’t spoken to her in a year,” Clifford told host Kent “Smallzy” Small, noting that he has tattoos and dyed hair.

The boys of 5 Seconds of Summer also joked about their time on the road with One Direction during the radio segment, debating which group changes their underclothes more often while on tour. Check out the video below.

5 Seconds of Summer recently announced that that pop band will release a new live album, titled LIVESOS. The set is expected to be released on Dec. 15 through Capitol Records. LIVESOS follows the Australian group’s self-titled debut album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in July.
