Which Metal Legend Is Getting the MTV EMAs Global Icon Award?

British rock legend Ozzy Osbourne will be honored with the Global Icon Award at the MTV EMAs in Glasgow, Scotland in November.
The MTV EMAs will air live on MTV channels around the world from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on Sunday, Nov. 9. Osbourne revealed the news to fans via his Facebook page.
“Ozzy’s impact on music and pop culture has been tremendous," said Bruce Gillmer, executive vp of talent and music programming/events at Viacom International Media Networks. "For over four decades (and counting!) he’s entertained, influenced, inspired and sometimes shocked legions of diehard fans around the globe."
Osbourne is a multi-platinum artist, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and a three-time Grammy winner. He has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide. He has just released CD/DVD collection Memoirs of a Madman. He also has a history with MTV thanks to reality series The Osbournes (2002-2005).
The former honorees are Eminem, who got the MTV Global Icon Award last year, Whitney Houston (2012), Queen (2011) and Bon Jovi (2010).
Nicki Minaj is set to host the MTV EMAs. Performers announced so far includeAriana GrandeEd Sheeran and Minaj.
